Professional Coaching Staff is led by Director of Golf and former NCAA Division I Head Coach Robert Jan.Robert is the PGA Director of Instruction at EDGE Performance Golf. NCAA Two-Time All-American, Hall of Fame Member and Six-Time Illinois PGA Radix Cup Team Member Coach Jan has been Coaching for more than 20 years. He most recently was the Head Men's Golf Coach at Chicago State University and Director of Golf and Head Coach of both Mens and Women's programs at Menlo College and Ashford University. Considered to be part of an elite group and one of the premier recruiters and developers in college golf and one of the finest coaches in America. Coach Jan has developed beginner golfers into Club Champions, coached NAIA All-Americans, College Conference Player of the Year and more than 40 Illinois State High School qualifiers. Jan's true passion is not only teaching people how to play the game but helping them into their true potential.

EDGE PERFORMANCE SPRING & SUMMER PROGRAMS
EDGE Performance Spring and Summer Programing has a highly developed approach to helping the specific High School and Prep elite player. Illinois golf most exclusive competitive development spring and summer High School and Prep training program. EDGE Performance Academy is very rigorous in its design and implementation. It is created for serious, skilled junior (6th – 12th grade) players that aspire to do one or more of the following: Play and compete in IJGA & MAJGT, AJGA Competitive Tournament Competition and/or make and contribute their IHSA High School Golf Team at any level and possibly go on to play College Level Golf.
NAVIGATE JUNIOR GOLF AND MANAGE YOUR JUNIOR GOLFER"S COLLEGE PLACEMENT
Do you constantly wonder about the next step you should take in your child's junior golf development? Do you feel overwhelmed by the number of junior golf tours you are faced with and uncertain about which one to choose? Do you worry that college golf will pass your child by, with no opportunity for a scholarship or a roster position?This is the program you need and will recommend to others once you join. This program mentors talented junior golfers and their parents toward making well-informed, sound decisions that will enhance their overall junior golf development, assist them throughout the college placement process, and lead to long-term success in life beyond golf. EDGE recruiting services highly developed approach to helping the golf student athlete to be recruited. Coach Jan has assisted in negotiating over 9.5 million in athletic aid over the past decade. Let us assist you in the process. We will begin by helping in the comparison of colleges and golf programs to help clients determine their potential "best fit" campuses. Draft introductory letters clients can send to coaches on their target list of schools. Offer golf and academic resume template - review and edit as necessary. Explain the NCAA recruiting process in detail including timelines and applicable rules and prepare recruits and parents for campus visits and meetings with coaches. Educate families on the NCAA initial-eligibility requirements and amateurism certification process. Prepare junior golfers for the college experience and necessary commitment level. Compare and contrast NCAA DI, DII and DIII - prerequisites, time commitments, scholarship opportunities, etc. Plan seasonal tournament schedules while explaining the AJGA Performance Based Entry Process. Play golf with each client to assess their current golf game and future potential and make recommendations on course management skills. Discuss how to practice effectively and possibly offer suggestions to assist with the selection of a swing or short game instructor. Recommend qualified experts related to fitness training and sport psychology. Encourage clients to work with certified club fitters. Emphasize the need to monitor progress through statistical analysis while working to establish realistic goals and objectives for junior golf and college. The program begins at $500 per month with a five month minimum. We truly realize the excitement and would love to assist you and your junior golfers quest to play collegiate golf!
PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE
*Please keep in mind there are two age groups 13u and 16u, we will accept all applications. PGA Jr. League is changing the way golf is learned and played through its fun, team-oriented approach. Boys and girls of all skill levels learn and play the game with expert coaching and guidance from Captain/PGA Pro, & Head Mens and Women’s College Coach Robert Jan. PGA Jr. League matches will be held on weekends in the Northwest Suburbs. In addition, golfers will compete in a separate league on Wednesday afternoons and have 8 - 2 hour group lessons on Tuesdays from 3:45-5:45pm. Golfers receive 2 numbered jerseys, t-shirt, hat, and more! Compete on teams with friends in a two-person scramble format that encourages mentorship and builds confidence. Members of the team also have the opportunity to purchase an unlimited summer golf membership for just $150.
